woah - that is some cool reaction !!! I am not sure I could have stayed this calm. I did run down stairs with my old rusty blunt sword once (its a re-enactment thing that kinda bendy but the pomel is really big) but I was really really drunk at the time and I don't really think much when drunk.

Holy cow! 0_0 I know I wouldn't have acted as calmly as you if some person came walking into my house [img]eek.gif[/img] But not many people like to come near our house since we have a giant Rhodesian Ridgeback (type of dog) and he's very mean to strangers.

I'm actually quite paranoid about stuff like that and always lock every door in the house, even my bedroom door. And I have a hammer stuck under my bed. I can't watch those late night horror movies or documentaries about serial killers before I go to bed, otherwise every sound to me makes me think someone's in my room. I'm just a big scaredy cat [img]redface.gif[/img]

You did an excellent job! Hopefully I'll be as calm as you if something like that ever happens to me

I had a very very scary moment yesterday...just thought I'd share it, maybe others want to share their own moments....

yesterday I was on the comp late last night at like 1:30. I was in my living room and it was completly dark except for the light i had on by the comp. I was wearing those big head phones, but I didnt have any music own, so I could hear everything. well on the left of me we have a series of four windows that look out on to our enclosed porch. Well someone, opened the door to the porch (that door is always opened because its an apartment house..u can go upstairs or knock on our door which is always locked)...at first I thought it was my upstairs neighbor, but then the person walked over to the window closest to me and stopped. We have blinds so u cant see out or in, except that this blind was broken and had a whole in it. The person looking in could see me but I couldnt see them because it was dark out there. Now mind you I was alone and Im 16, and in a town with scary ppl @[email protected] I of course freaked out..

HOwever suprising my self and everyone else after i told the story, i acted really calmly. I just sat there staring at the person, staring back at me. Then I ran through a series of things to do: open door?..no..thats crazy. Pick up phone, walk in to kicthen, turn on porch light, grab bat and pray. Well since the person obviosly saw me do all this, he freaked out and ran out of the porch, i saw him running down the street, it was some 40 yr old guy. Called the police, police came, and they ended up finding the person. He was some pervert guy who had sexually molested some kid back in another town.

I think that was scariest moment of my life!! I feel good about what i did though...I mean i think i did all the right things...coulda gone worst if i had just gone with my first instinct and screamed.

Oh and when i mean calm...i was still shaking to no end..i just didnt freeze, i was able to look normal

^^ Very very brave of you, and good thing you did that because now he's caught and he can't hurt anyone else. I've never really encountered any scary moments like that because in Hong Kong, we all live in apartments and I just can't imagine someone scaling twenty floors just to peek at me through my window. ^^**

I suppose I have dealt with a few stalkers though...usually random men who follow me whenever I go out to buy manga at night (it's in the worst part of the city), but going up to a big group of random people and pretending that I know them usually dissuades the stalkers. ^^**

Errr...I do have a very short slightly-freaky story though. I was visiting Sakura in NZ and it was about 2:00 AM and we were on the computer. Well, we were surfing the net and suddenly the number "6" kept repeating itself over and over again on the URL bar. ("666666666666666etc.") O__O Now that I think about it, I figure the key was just stuck or something.
